[Important news from Pathways]
In this joyful start of the New Year, we would like to share that, after two decades of dedicated service, Mrs Phyllis Chang has decided to step down from the role of Chairperson and pass the torch to Ms Elsie Gung.
As one of the founding members of Pathways, Phyllis took up chairmanship during the difficult time of 2003, shepherding the organisation through numerous challenges and milestones and consistently guiding us in our service towards thousands of students with dyslexia and their families. We must give Phyllis our heartiest thanks for her exceptional leadership, and we are certain her vision and dedication will continue to inspire and be appreciated by all of us.
It is as well with great excitement that we introduce Ms Elsie Gung, who will succeed as our new Chairperson. Elsie has been with Pathways for the past 8 years and has since 2019 taken up the duties of Chairperson in the Marketing, Communications & Fundraising Committee. Outside of her busy work, Elsie is committed to and very active in serving the community as well as Pathways, bringing on board more than 20 years of advocacy and advisory experience and an extensive network across several NGOs. There is no doubt that under her leadership, Pathways will advance towards bigger achievements and serve more students in need.
In addition to our Executive Council members, there are also new faces in our executive management with Ms Lucille Wong transitioned from her role as Executive Director to Special Advisor as of December 2024,and the position of Executive Director has been taken up by Ms Susanna Chiu. We would like to thank Lucille for her enthusiastic contribution to Pathways over the past three years, and to welcome Susanna in joining us.
We hope that under the leadership of the new management team, Pathways will help more children with dyslexia bridge their learning gap and rekindle their learning interest.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
